Mojmir Bures
Mojmír is a photographer and visual artist from the Czech Republic. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU) and a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art in London. In 2014, he received a scholarship to study at Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design, and Architecture in Helsinki.
In 2021, his artwork Imagine was selected by a jury from Circa and Dazed & Confused Magazine to be showcased at renowned locations such as Piccadilly Circus in London, Yunika Vision in Tokyo, and K-Pop Square in Seoul as part of the Class of 2021.
From 2017 to 2021, Mojmír led the photography team at Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week, where he directed the visual style, managed archives, and documented backstage moments, runway shows, and key events.
Between 2011 and 2015, he served as Art Director for the Moravská Třebová Photo Festival, curating artists and developing the festival’s visual identity.
Mojmír balances commercial and advertisement photography with art-focused projects, predominantly working with analog and film technologies to create distinctive, timeless imagery. He has collaborated with some of the most influential names in fashion, including Elite London in the UK and LAFORMELA. His work has been featured in top-tier magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Vogue Czechoslovakia, among others.
He has also worked internationally, photographing for clients such as Lasvit in Indonesia, Kuwait, and London, and collaborating with brands in the Emirates, Berlin, and other global markets. Currently, Mojmír is the Visual Director at Artspeak and contributes to the digitization of the National Gallery in Prague’s art collection.
